This spring and summer you are likely cross paths with the spotted lanternfly. The spotted lanternfly is a bug that arrived from China in 2012 and is spreading throughout southeastern Pennsylvania, despite a quarantine of 13 counties. Why is this important? For one thing, agriculture is the biggest industry in Pennsylvania. The spotted lanternfly could devastate the hardwoods industry, of which Pa. is the No. 1 producer in the nation. Real estate stats from 2018

Some interesting real estate statistics from 2018 from Bright MLS, which most of the agents in Bucks and Montgomery counties use. Stats are for residential properties with a list price of $100,000 or more. In Montgomery County for 2018, there were 14,099 properties listed for sale, an increase of just 2 properties over 2017. Banks can be really dumb and their mistakes costly

Sometimes, you just have to wonder about banks. They can make really dumb decisions. Usually, those decisions cost the buyer or the seller, while the bank is usually insulated from the stupidity of its decisions. Not this time. I was helping clients purchase a house in Bucks County. The house was a foreclosure owned by a mortgage company, which had an online site handling the offers electronically. Pumpkin mushrooms or marigold mushrooms?

This is a first for me. Pumpkin mushrooms. Marigold mushrooms. Halloween mushrooms. I don’t know what you call them, but when I saw scores (hundreds?) of orange mushrooms growing on the lawn of a neighbor on Oak Hill Drive in Horsham on Friday afternoon, I did a double take. At first, I thought they were marigolds that someone had just planted. I did not notice them on my walk Thursday morning, but my wife said she saw them on Thursday afternoon.
